v1.0.0 — Launch
IsoGrid is live. v0.1 was the frame. v1.0 is the first version I’m ready to share, but the big idea still holds: this is where the process starts, not where it ends.
The site now opens on a home menu modeled after a game console. Every tile is a channel:
- Ask IsoGrid, a chat about this site and me, with answers drawn from the site’s own content
- The Big Idea, why this site exists
- Now, what I’m focused on at the moment
- Log, this changelog, one entry per step
- Experience, my work, school, and skills, queried like a database
- Message Board, a way to send me a message directly
- Skill Range, a small game: hit the ducks, collect the tools
- GitHub and LinkedIn, for everything that lives off-site
The bar along the bottom has Settings (sound, plus a day or night menu), a clock, and a Terminal for anyone who would rather type.
Under the hood it stays lightweight. Every channel is a static page that works without JavaScript, fits on one screen, and has its own link. Cloudflare serves it, and the only server code handles the contact form.
Next up is a Projects channel for what I’m working on now, so the work in progress gets a home of its own.
